Well summer is here so most of us start thinking about our vacations and where we're going to go.The time is fast approaching to load up the SUV, wedge your kids into the remaining space (and don't foget the hubby or wife) and head of for an adventurous beach vacation. Well Ok its not as adventurous as climbing a mountain, or rafting down the Colorado but it can be just as much fun!.

I can already feel the hot sun on my face, the refreshing sea around my body and the warm sands massaging my tired feet, can you? I can even taste the obligatory margarita, or maybe an ice cold beer if thats more your style. So enough dreaming, make it a reality. It's so easy these days to plan and book beach vacationcons, all you have to do is fire up the pc or mac and dive in. There are so many places on the internet to find great information on vacations and holidays, hey your on one of them now! So do you have an idea of what type of beach vacations you're looking for and possibly even more important what is your ideal holiday destination?

Maybe you're an east coast fanatic or perhaps like me you prefer the laid back locations that california has to offer. You don't have to restrict yourself to the US either, its just a short hop to the caribbean or head west and go to Hawaii. These are definitely some of the hottest locations for your best beach vacations. If you like to travel maybe you want to splash out and try something a bit more tropical like the Seychelles,Fiji or even Asian destinations like Thailand and Indonesia.

My main piece of advice is to plan and especially book well in advance, gone are the days of getting the best vacation discounts at the last minute.Thank heavens for the internet right? Just open your favourite search engine and dive in and find all those sites offering great vacation discounts. Alternatively you could just follow my advice and try either Expedia or Orbitz. In my humble opinion they are the best 2 websites for holiday deals and in addition you can book just about everything, including car rental, airfares, hotels and even your vacation excursions should you decid to forego the beach for a day!

Last summer we managed to persuade the in laws to take the kids an off we went to Phuket. Talk about idylic. Beautiful weather, fantastic beaches, excellent food but I'm running out of superlatives so lets just say it was awesome! This summer we've booked a beach vacation in Carolina and yes the kids are coming too! it was so easy, took me less than hour on my PC, sorted through various deals and locations at Expedia and Orbitz. In the end we opted for an all-inclusive package deal which included flights, hotel, food and even the Margarita's!. It was so cheap and its great knowing that all we have to worry about is getting to the airport and the everything else is taken care of included in the price.
